  1. The minimum recommended configuration for running the IDL Tour
  2. is 8 MB of memory, 8-bit color, and a 600x480 screen.

  4. On 24-bit displays, the tour runs in 8-bit (pseudo color) mode.
  5. If the current IDL session has allocated any colors or memory,
  6. it may be beneficial to first exit and then restart IDL before
  7. running the tour.
